Judith Wayne, our lead attorney, is a certified Massachusetts conciliator who can help you resolve divorce issues outside of court. A conciliator is different from a mediator in that a conciliator must be an attorney who has completed the requirements and is certified by the state of Massachusetts.
In Middlesex County, a judge will inform a divorcing couple of their option to resolve their dispute through the conciliation program. If the couple elects to use the program, an order will be issued and a conciliator from the same geographic area as the divorcing couple will be assigned. There are no cost eligibility guidelines and independent legal counsel is not required.

In both mediation and conciliation, our role is not to act as a lawyer for either side. Instead, we generally meet with each side in an effort to help them resolve their issues amicably.
